While different territories will be at different stages of the conversion process, at different times, ATM services will remain available across the Group. There will be brief interruptions in ATM services, however we will advise of these periods well in advance, so that you can be prepared.

 

ATMs

  • Will I have access to my funds at the ATMs during the conversion?

    ATM and online services will be unavailable in St. Maarten and the British Virgin Islands from March 30 to 31, 2022. We encourage you to withdraw cash for use over this period and make any scheduled online payments beforehand.

  • When will ATM services be restored?

    ATM services will be restored in St. Maarten & the British Virgin Islands as follows: ATM- All by April 3, 2022

  • Will I be able to come into the branch to withdraw cash while the ATMs are down?

    The Bank will be closed on April 1 and will reopen on April 4:
    St. Maarten - from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    The BVI - from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    All services will be fully restored on April 4, 2022.

  • Will I be able to use my debit card at a point-of-sale terminal or online during this time?

    Online and POS services will also be unavailable for customers at this time. However, credit card services will be available at point-of-sale terminals and online.

  • Will customers of other banks be able to use their cards at merchants who use Republic Bank point of sale terminals?

    Yes, point of sale terminals at merchants will not be affected at this stage of the conversion. Therefore, customers of other banks can use their debit cards at point-of-sale terminals during this period.

  • Will there be any new ABM services/features?

    Yes. Our Cardless Cash feature will be added. With Cardless Cash you can send funds to anyone with a mobile phone, even to yourself. Funds can then be withdrawn from any one of our ATMs, without the use of a card. Stay tuned for more information.
